Aluminum Jacketing with Tedlar Coating and Poly-Kraft Moisture Barrier

Aluminum jacketing is available in a wide range of alloys in compliance with ASTM B209. The most commonly used alloy is 3003, which belongs to the 3000 series and is primarily alloyed with manganese (Mn). Alloy 3003 includes a small addition of copper (Cu) for improved strength. Other common options, such as alloys 3105 and 3005, are alloyed with magnesium (Mg) to enhance corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.

The Tedlar® coating provides excellent chemical, UV, and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for harsh environments. Combined with a Poly-Kraft moisture barrier on the inner side, this jacketing system offers enhanced protection against moisture penetration and corrosion under insulation (CUI), ensuring long-term durability in both indoor and outdoor applications.
